This picture is me benching 295 at a powerlifting meet when I was 25. Six years later, I hit 333 in the Jungle with my dad watching. Thousands of hours worked for 38 pounds, in the next 6 years maybe, just maybe I’ll hit 350.
Everything has an aspect of diminishing returns, but I find it fascinating that in this world of instant gratification we as humans will work years for that last pound of muscle or a few more kilos on the bar.
The epitome of falling in love with the process.
A way of life that will never leave you and might just weave its way into every aspect of your existence.
Your flag is your effort over time. Your flag is your mostly silent journey that nobody really cares about but you…and that’s 100% ok.
